Arve Samnøy returns to StS-ISONOR as Director of Sales and Marketing
StS-ISONOR has strengthened its team with the appointment of Arve Samnøy as Director of Sales and Marketing. Arve previously served as Head of Contracts and Procurement in the StS Group and brings solid knowledge of the company, its markets and the industry to his new role.

“StS-ISONOR has broad expertise, strong professional teams and an expanding range of products and services. I see significant opportunities for further growth, both in Norway and internationally,” says Arve Samnøy.
The company’s focus includes established markets as well as new opportunities in areas such as renewable industries, CCUS, the power sector and data centres. The aim is to be a preferred partner for customers seeking specialised expertise, flexibility, quality, innovation and a strong local presence.
“We will listen to the market and continue developing our solutions in line with our customers’ needs. Most importantly, we will succeed together as one team,” says Arve.

Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Arve Samnøy. I am 56 years old and married to Astri. We have two adult children, Andrea and Anders. I grew up in Samnøy, about an hour’s drive southeast of Bergen, and I still live there. We enjoy life in the countryside. In my spare time, I like working in the forest and around the property, including cutting firewood.
I am an electrical and automation engineer and have worked in several industries and roles throughout my career. From 2020 to 2023, I was Head of Contracts and Procurement in the StS Group, so I already know the company well.
What does your role involve, and what do you find most exciting about it?
I have returned to StS-ISONOR as Director of Sales and Marketing. The company has developed positively in recent years. The acquisition of ISONOR Industrier in 2023 has broadened our expertise within the ISO disciplines, expanded our presence across Southern Norway and given us access to new markets.
StS-ISONOR has also developed its own products and services, both independently and together with external partners. I see many exciting opportunities to grow our business in existing and new markets, both in Norway and internationally.
What have you focused on during your first months?
During my first months, I have focused on getting to know the organization, reconnecting with former colleagues, meeting new colleagues and building an overview of our projects, markets and future opportunities.
An important part of my role is understanding the customers and markets where we can create sales and activity. We will continue to follow up existing customers, meet new ones and explore markets such as renewable industries, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), the power sector and data centres. At the same time, we will actively promote StS-ISONOR in Norway and internationally.
I am also working to establish a more consistent sales and marketing structure across our locations and departments. This covers the entire process, from marketing and customer contact to enquiries, tenders, calculations, terms and framework conditions.
What are your ambitions for StS-ISONOR?
We have a clear strategic ambition to increase activity through new projects and customers at all our locations along the coast and inland in Southern Norway. At the same time, we will continue to develop products and services in line with market needs.
I want StS-ISONOR to be considered by- and preferred as a supplier to both small and large customers and projects. We should be recognized for our specialized products and services, strong expertise and a local presence. The market is looking for flexibility, innovation, quality and, in many cases, Norwegian ownership. We can provide all of this.
Personally, I am motivated by a positive working environment, good colleagues and the feeling of succeeding together – as one team.
