We are following up on the work with a dyslexia-friendly workplace
Working to become a dyslexia friendly workplace has been ongoing for several years. In the spring of 2022, Dyslexia Norway, Norsk Industri and Industri Energi launched the pilot project Dyslexia Friendly Workplace, with the aim of identifying what it takes to create more inclusive workplaces.
The DVA conference
In March 2024, we participated in the DVA Conference, where Ingrid Solheim gave a presentation on the project from a leadership perspective. During the same period, we also shared an article about our work on our website and intranet.

Diploma
This work remains a high priority, and we have now taken a new and visible step forward. We have received a diploma demonstrating our commitment to working purposefully towards becoming a dyslexia friendly workplace in 2026.

The diploma highlights values we already work by: openness in the workplace, individual adaptation, and a strong focus on recognising the strengths of each employee. As part of this effort, we place particular emphasis on plain and accessible language, clear and simple procedures, and increased knowledge of dyslexia, dyscalculia and DLD.
Inclusive working life
The work is carried out in close collaboration between management and employee representatives and forms part of a long term commitment to creating an inclusive working environment where everyone can succeed in their job.
At its core, this work is about people. By continuing our focus on becoming a dyslexia friendly workplace, we aim to contribute to a working environment characterised by safety, openness and respect for different needs and abilities.
Together, we take both small and significant steps in the right direction – towards a workplace where everyone is valued for their strengths and given good opportunities to experience mastery and development in their work.
