Manifold drain pipe repair – Cool Boreas LNG Tanker
Vessel: Cool Boreas LNG Tanker/Voyage: Hawaii – Korea (28 days)
Scope of work
During the voyage, leaks were identified on two small manifold drain pipes – one on the port side and one on the starboard side cargo manifold. StS-ISONOR was contacted on short notice to assess and carry out the repair.
Mobilisation
Equipment was dispatched from Norway on Friday morning and shipped to Hawaii. StS-ISONOR engaged a trusted partner for welding and NDT services, including vessel and rig support. Personnel were mobilised to Honolulu with a two-day margin before the LNG tanker was scheduled to pick up equipment and crew offshore.

Due to vessel delays, personnel had to remain in Hawaii for five days before mobilisation could proceed.
Execution
The operation was successfully executed under challenging logistical conditions, demonstrating StS-ISONOR’s capability to respond quickly, mobilise globally, and deliver safe, high-quality solutions – even during ocean passage.
