Scope of work
StS-ISONOR carried out repair work inside one of the vaporizers located on the forward main deck. The scope included grinding of damage to a cooler, using both a grinder and a drill. As the work could generate sparks, it was required that the operation was performed either gas free or inside a closed habitat.
Solution
A custom-built habitat was installed to contain sparks and heat within the work area, ensuring safe execution without impact on surrounding equipment.
Result
The work was completed safely and efficiently with excellent results. A demanding task was solved in a professional manner, resulting in a highly successful operation.
