Opportunities for the future
The coming years look very promising for Norwegian offshore suppliers, with major development projects and high activity. While 80% of the world’s industrial energy still comes from fossil sources, there are significant political initiatives to replace these with sustainable, renewable, and green solutions. Technology and innovation will play a key role in this transition, and both existing and new technology will find new applications. Innovation will largely be driven by private players who see new market opportunities.
Theme for OTD Energy 2025
This year’s exhibition focuses on energy, technology, and sustainability. In the new energy industry, petroleum will gradually be replaced by renewable energy sources, but will still play an important role in energy security during the transition phase. This places new demands on the players, and those who succeed will be those who invest in innovation and technology. Traditional energy companies must renew themselves and break out of old business models to succeed in the future.
